2021 Trajet Reserve Pinot Noir

The Trajet Reserve Pinot Noir is a journey for Le Cadeau Vineyard. In both the vineyard and the winery we set no limits – all possibilities are open. The 2021 vintage represents our sixth bottling of Trajet Reserve. We harvested Eastern-facing heritage and Dijon Pinot Noir clones in early September that were fermented with 38% whole-clusters. After aging for 17 months in 40% new French oak, it was bottled unfined and unfiltered on March 23rd, 2023. It is deep and complex with luxurious tannins that anticipate very long-term ageability.

Awarded 95 points by Wine Enthusiast and selected as an Editors' Choice: "Blackberries and violets are just the aromatic introduction. The background notes of earth, crushed brick dust and the salinity of a sea marsh are even more compelling. The wine's leathery texture bonds with flavors of blueberries, unsweetened chocolate, black tea, and tart red cherries. Firm tannins, with vibrating acidity."
