2016 Trajet Reserve Pinot Noir

The Trajet Reserve cuvee was a journey into something new for Le Cadeau, when Tom & winemaker Steve Ryan had the idea to make an estate Pinot without any limits. The result with the 2016 harvest was a 4 barrel fermentation of 95% whole cluster grapes, subsequently aged in French oak for nearly 18 months. It is rich and deep yet surprisingly soft on the palate, with very well-integrated tannin. Stylistically, yes, the approach was a journey for us, but the result is very much "Le Cadeau". We anticipate long-term ageability with this wine... so while Trajet Reserve may not be produced every year, it is one you will want in your cellar when we do!
